Foodies Festival ( dubbed Gastro-Glastonbury ), the biggest gourmet food and drink touring festival in the UK – is coming to Mote Park , Maidstone for the first time this June featuring MasterChef and TV stars , award-winning chefs , headline music acts and gastronomic delights from around the world .
Celebrities cooking their signature dishes live in the Chef ’ s Theatre include : Kent-based MasterChef 2020 champion Thomas Frake , and finalist Sandy Tang ; celebrity Spanish chef , Omar Allibhoy , known for his appearances on ITV ’ s This Morning and BBC ’ s Saturday Kitchen ; 2010 champion Dhruv Baker ; and 2015 finalist Tony Rodd .
In the Cake and Bake Theatre an impressive lineup of expert star bakers will create delicious showstopping masterpieces and share their best tips and tricks .
The music stage will host platinum-selling charttoppers Scouting For Girls , and Lee Ryan and
Simon Webbe from legendary boy band Blue . And to kick the weekend off in style , the festival hosts a ‘ Big Party Night ’ – taking a nostalgia-filled trip back to the 90s , featuring some of the biggest music acts of the era , including : Liberty X and East 17 .
A legion of chefs from Michelin-starred and awardwinning restaurants will give the festival a distinctive local flavour including Alex Yates from Bowleys at The Plough in Trottiscliffe and Patrick Hill from three AA Rosette awarded Thackeray ’ s in Tunbridge Wells .
At the three-day festival visitors can enjoy the Chefs ’ Theatre , Cake & Bake Theatre , Drinks Theatre , Shopping Village with award-winning artisan producers , Street Food Avenue , Feasting Tent , Cook Book Shop , Kids ’ Cookery School , fairground , live music stage , and family-friendly areas with activities for children .
