Margate Soul Festival , Margate // 5-7 August
The UK ’ s most anticipated Soul Festival is set to return to wonderful Margate this summer , bringing together an exceptional lineup of acts across the three-day party . Originally starting in 2002 on Fort Hill as a small DJ set , the festival has now considerably grown and is now , in partnership with Gordon Mac and the team at Mi-Soul Radio , a world recognised event for music lovers far and wide . The unique festival offers both tickets and non-ticketed events across a variety of different stages . The Redstripe Sunset Stage boasts fantastic views across Margate sands and provides the perfect backdrop for live music from world-class DJs . Broadstairs Folk Week , Broadstairs // 5-12 August 2022
A traditional folk music festival , and one of the biggest in the country , over the past 55 years , Broadstairs Folk Week has played host to some 450 events across every available venue in the town and has become a magnet for folk-music lovers from all over the UK . This year , the festival is excited to announce it will be back with a bang , and with a really exciting lineup that will be bigger and better than ever .
Head to the main concert venue ( close to the train station ) at the Festival Arena , located in the Memorial Recreation Ground , for the headline acts and grab a drink or two from the festival bar or one of the many food stalls around the park . There is also a campsite situated at a local school , and one of the benefits of coming to this chalky corner of Kent is that its soils are free-draining – so no Glasto-style mud baths . New to the festival this year is the Folk Week Dance Venue ; situated at the lovely Sarah Thorne Theatre , this is a space for dancing the day / night away . A New Day Festival , nr Faversham // 19-21 August
A three-day festival held in the beautiful setting of Mount Ephraim Gardens featuring the very best in prog-rock , classic rock , blue and roots music . A New Day Festival has been cleverly created by music lovers who enjoy coming together over good beer , great food and nostalgic music .
