Chartway Group are locally based in Coxheath on the outskirts of Maidstone and our community matters to us .

We don ’ t just want to build homes , we want to build new communities and neighbourhoods , help our customers feel a sense of belonging , and be proud to say they live one of our new homes , whether it ’ s one of our partnership homes with leading housing associations or , through our own new homes arm Westerhill Homes .
In 2021 Westerhill Homes was the Presenting Partner for Elmer ’ s Big Heart of Kent Parade for Heart of Kent Hospice , a widely applauded art sculpture trail in Maidstone , raising both awareness of the Hospice and funds in excess of £ 300,000 . This sponsorship was in addition to many of the smaller sponsorships we committed to last year , and events such as our staff donating to a Christmas lunch fund and donating children ’ s clothes and toys to the Slade Green Food Bank .

We are continuing our long-term relationships with both Heart of Kent Hospice and Air Ambulance KSS with donations and sponsorships of events .
We are supporting community projects and have bought 4 virtual plots at the Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Trust ’ s Restharrow Scrape Project , and given our new homes customers at nearby Pebble Gate Place development , a year ’ s season ticket to Sandwich Bay , accessed via a private estate so they can enjoy the beautiful coastline on their doorstep .
We ’ ve been partnering with Sandwich Technology School , welcoming their 6th Form students for a tour of our local site , and setting up a ‘ Design an Eco Home ’ project with them .
We are committed to promoting construction as a career for young people and are working with local schools to offer them our expertise at their career ’ s days , and doing presentations on safety on building sites and the environment . This year we have already sponsored an event with Kent MS Therapy Centre , our staff have donated food and clothing to Homeless Care Maidstone Day Centre , and raised funds for MIND on their ‘ Time to Talk ’ Day to raise awareness for mental welfare .
We are sponsoring a team from Chartway Group who will be taking part in the Youth Adventure Trust ’ s Housebuilder Challenge 2022 , a challenging 10-hour hike in the Peak District National Park .
