CLASSICALLY TRAINED CHEF SERVES UP NEW MENU AT BUSH , BLACKBIRD AND THRUSH
Shepherd Neame pub the Bush , Blackbird and Thrush in East Peckham , between Maidstone and Tonbridge , welcomed experienced licensee John Fox last year , and has now been joined by head chef Claire Edwards . Claire trained at chef Gordon Ramsay ’ s Tante Marie Culinary Academy in Surrey and also learned specialist French bread making in Paris , and plans to put those skills to use serving customers to the village hostelry . The friendly rural pub , which can seat 55 diners inside , is unveiling a menu which highlights Claire ’ s flair with food , including her speciality sourdough . Diners can enjoy delights such as Jaipur crab salad , served with handmade bread and English butter , or garlic chestnut mushrooms on handmade sourdough bread with rocket and truffle oil .

Shepherd Neame is now serving Twinings ’ premium range of teas at selected pubs and hotels across its estate . To celebrate the new partnership , Shepherd Neame ’ s food team has worked with Twinings ’ master blenders to create an exclusive Afternoon Tea Tasting Menu , with teas carefully selected to match the sweet and savoury treats on offer . It begins with a welcome drink of Twinings ’ Mango & Pineapple tea with Prosecco or Revive on Ice infusion , followed by a selection of sandwiches accompanied by Simply Sencha Green Tea or The Earl tea . Guests then enjoy scones infused with Earl Grey-soaked raisins , accompanied by Strawberry Green Tea or Full English tea . This is followed by a selection of cakes accompanied by Thoroughly Minted or Revive teas , then to finish , petit fours with a Rooibos & Honey layered tea latte .

Normandy food trucks will be serving up tasty sweet and savoury dishes for hungry punters . Normandy Truck 76 marries the finest Normandy beef with creamy camembert served up in a soft bun .
