ROBERT , BROMLEY BATHROOM COMPANY WITH HOUSE OWNER PAM STONE
Were there any project pitfalls ?
Designing bathrooms from architects plans alone can be difficult , as these often evolve as the build progresses .
How did you find the balance between an excellent design-led refurb which also kept to budget ?
We started the process with an initial quote based on the perfect layout for the bathroom and the ideal products chosen by our customers . We then worked together to achieve the budget required , without compromising on quality or design .
Were there any design surprises or brief changes during the design process or installation stage ?
These are common in most building projects . We are used to adapting to design and layout changes as they arise . For example , in this case , we overcame the challenge of supporting steel beams having been installed where shower wastes needed to be run by replacing the products with alternatives that worked with the new layout .
What were the common mistakes that you managed to avoid ?
Good communication is essential to eliminating common mistakes . We provided a Project Scope , CAD and dimensional drawings , agreed by all parties in advance , therefore eliminating any misunderstandings . If something cropped up which deviated from the Project Scope , everyone knew not to proceed until the options had been discussed .
Did anything go wrong ?
Room sizes had to change as the build progressed . We had to replace certain products to fit the new layouts .
