EARTHY BROWNS
Taupe , tan and all things brown have been influencing interiors since the 70s , and interestingly this colour palette is set to be one of the biggest trends for 2022 . Shades of brown in interiors are often underplayed ; used in the smallest of details as neutralisers , they go unnoticed . However , this is the year for using brown with intent to make a statement , and when done correctly you ’ ll be left with something actually quite complex and inviting . Think dark chocolate , mocha and woodland scenes ; tones that feel grounding , comforting and calm , and you ’ ll be left with a sanctuary that you won ’ t want to leave . Go all out and coat the entire room in a rich earthy brown and it will instantly feel modern and be able to hold its own . If you feel it ’ s too much , you can soften with additional colours like blushes , rusty oranges or even light greens for that element of nature . Brown could just be the new neutral , and we couldn ’ t be happier .
