Gaia // Rochester Cathedral 8 - 28 February
Luke Jerram ’ s spectacular Earth art exhibition , Gaia will be arriving at Rochester Cathedral at the beginning of February . Measuring seven metres in diameter , Gaia features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth ’ s surface . The artwork gives visitors the opportunity to experience the scale of our planet . A specially made surround-sound composition by BAFTAaward-winning composer , Dan Jones will also play alongside the sculpture .

Traces , Brompton Barracks // Chatham 1 March - 29 May
Discover the monuments within Brompton Barracks as local photographer and UCA student Laura Fisher takes you on a photographic journey .
“ I was given a tour of the grounds and a potted history of the structures and monuments I saw . There was a lot to take in and I avidly photographed them all . The grounds of the barracks are grand – dating back to Georgian times .”

POW ! // Thanet
Bringing a multi-disciplinary arts festival to Thanet is POW !, a community-led women ’ s local art organisation . A new experience is coming shortly called The Body Room , where female-identifying participants can express themselves creatively for an hour in a freshly covered brown paper space . Guests can then spend the time in privacy with a number of art materials to create and express however they wish .

North Downs Way Art Trail // Across Kent Autumn 2022
Six new permanent artworks will be installed along the North Downs Way National Trail . Together with existing artwork , the new installations will celebrate local heritage , the inspiring views , communities and wildlife , encouraging people to explore the wonderful surrounding countryside . The artworks will all reflect the special characteristics of each beautiful location along the 153-mile trail , will be made from sustainable materials and will also act as sculptural seats to allow visitors a chance to sit , reflect and relax .

Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company // Ashford
In late spring , Jasmin Vardimon will be moving into their new , bespoke , state-of-the-art creative complex in Javelin Way on Ashford ’ s Henwood Industrial Estate . The exciting expansion will be a whole host of new job opportunities for locals , as well as acting as a creative hub for the company ' s exploits which include national and international touring productions . The building will include space for productions , rehearsals and studios for educational programmes .

Kent Mining Museum // Betteshanger Park Opening Spring 2022
Set at the heart of Betteshanger Park in the visitor centre , Kent ’ s Mining Museum will take visitors on an exciting journey through the historic Kent Coalfield . The space will help to complete the story of mining in the UK , creating exhibitions and programmes that will entertain and engage an audience of all ages .

Skydiving , Hangloose // Bluewater May 2022
The UK ’ s only outdoor sky-diving machine is joining the mix of Hangloose activities at Bluewater . This will be a once in a lifetime experience to see nature in a whole new light . It will be the equivalent of 30,000 feet , 9,144 meters , 9 km or 5.7 miles , but you won ’ t be too far from the ground .

Boys Hall , Ashford Opening July 2022
Summer 2022 is set to see the reopening of Boys Hall as a restaurant with rooms . The manor house situated near the heart of Ashford town has undergone a complete transformation at the hands of new owners , husband and wife team Bradley and Kristie Lomas . Set to be ready for July 2022 , the redesign will feature a comfy-luxe 75-cover restaurant , where the emphasis will be all-day-dining and a locally inspired seasonal menu , three cosy reception rooms , charming pub and premium wine cellar .
