CARNIVAL OF BAUBLES IS BACK !

Loveashford , in conjunction with Emergency Exit Arts , Made in Ashford and a host of other local artists , will be bringing Carnival of the Baubles back to our high street this winter with a magical parade of hand-crafted lanterns .
This Christmas , Carnival of the Baubles will shine a light on those who call Ashford home , with a particular focus on what makes Ashford special and the experience of moving to Ashford for those who have come from somewhere else – be it from London , Kabul or Kathmandu !
Themed around disco and dancing , this year ’ s parade will also host a special appearance from Emergency Exit Art ’ s Disco Turtle – a giant mechanical puppet that will lead the procession full of glitter and light through the town , accompanied by the best disco tunes !
SATURDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2021
Parade starts at Elwick Place , Ashford at 5pm and ends Lower High Street 6pm
The Carnival of the Baubles procession will be the finale in an action packed day for Ashford
➜ 10am-6pm : Makers Market – Christmas version ! ( Park Mall and Upper High Street )
➜ 10am-2pm : Public lantern -making workshop at the Craftship ( Park Mall )
➜ 4pm : Evening Christmas Market from Kent Food Hubs
➜ 5-6pm : Carnival of the Baubles
➜ 6pm -8pm : Family Rave on the Bandstand with Ashford College
