NORTHFLEET TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE IS AN ALL-BOYS SECONDARY SCHOOL WITH A MIXED SIXTH FORM . BASED IN NORTHFLEET , KENT , IT IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE FROM DARTFORD AND GRAVESHAM , WITH GOOD TRANSPORT LINKS FOR THOSE WISHING TO TRAVEL FROM FURTHER AFIELD . We have excellent and dedicated staff who are passionate in ensuring our students are successful in both their academic studies , and in developing the professional skills that will make them future leaders in the wider community . Our beautiful building has a dedicated sixth-form zone , alongside wonderful specialist facilities in engineering , music , performing arts , physical education and science . In addition , we provide all our students with a laptop to support their studies at both school and home .
Northfleet Technology Colleges Sixth Form offers a range of dedicated pathways to suit all students needs and abilities .
Our Level 2 Flight Path Programme ( one year ) will enable you to study GCSE English and maths as required , and undertake one or two Level 2 vocational courses . We also ensure students on this programme have access to high-quality work experience opportunities . This programme is designed to allow students to progress into employment with training , traineeship , intermediate / advanced apprenticeships and Level 3 qualifications .
Level 3 Vocational Pathway ( two years ) enables students to complete the equivalent of at least three A Levels through the completion of BTECs , RSL , LIBF and other vocational qualifications . This pathway allows students to progress onto employment with training , higher level apprenticeships , FE or university .
International Baccalaureate Career Programme ( IBCP ), ( two years ) enables students to complete the equivalent of at least three A Levels through a combination of academic IB courses and vocational qualifications . Alongside this , they will complete the IBCP core , developing their personal skills as well as an understanding of where they fit in the world . The IBCP allows students to progress onto higher level apprenticeships , FE or university .
Basketball or Football Academy ( two years ) - these pathways include daily training , complemented by individual strength and conditioning sessions , with the teams competing in academy and national leagues . Level 3 students are encouraged to take the Level 3 Vocational Pathway of the IBCP Programme alongside the academies . The academies give students the opportunity to progress onto sport-related employment , professional basketball / football or university .
Whatever pathway is taken , all students also have the opportunity to develop their leadership , communication and team building skills though taking part in our internally led Professional Qualification of Leadership & Innovation ( PQLI ). This enables our students to develop the professional skills employers are seeking .
