WELCOME

Hey pumpkin !
Ahh October , that little gem of a month that manages to deliver a whole heap of childlike wonder .
When I was small , my mum used to tell me the autumn leaves blowing along the ground were the fairies and elves preparing for Christmas … and whilst I now understand the veiled threat of needing to behave myself , that sense of seasonal magic remains with me till this day .
For me , October is a month full of simple pleasures .
The hard to resist side-step to crunch the autumnal fall underfoot ( don ’ t say that ’ s just me ?!). The singsong chants of ‘ trick or treat ’. The utter concentration on the kids ( and the big kids !) faces when carving out a freshly picked pumpkin . The delight of heartier , richer , comforting food . The glorious golden sheen cast from our bountiful countryside as leaves change . The simple pleasure of curling up by the fireside with a good read in hand …
And boy do we have the last one covered for you – courtesy of our heaving with autumnal cheer October issue !
