BROADDITCH FARM
Broadditch Farm
Set in a haven of countryside , yet just 20 minutes from Bluewater , the 470-acre Broadditch Farm has been owned and operated by the Harris family for over 170 years . With its farmshop joining it ’ s ‘ farm to table ’ ethos some 30 years ago , it has been going from strength to strength ever since .
The shop , of course , specialises in Broadditch ’ s very own fresh-from-the-farm vegetables . Grown a matter of acres away and available only hours after harvesting , these delights are grown without added water or irrigation to ensure they are always bursting with colour and favour . All fruit and veggies are of course seasonal , are grown in the best quality conditions and the range of veggie yumminess is seemingly endless , but in the winter months you can expect to see pumpkins and squash for all your spooky , yet delicious needs , along with brussel tops , perfect for enjoying the festive season . In the summer there will be everything from rhubarb , asparagus , courgettes , and sweetcorn available .
It ' s not just your 5-a-day that you ’ ll find as you peruse inside the wooden beamed , rustic farm shop , there is also produce from a multitude of other local Kentish farms and businesses including cakes and fruit pies from Country Cakes , all manner of cheeses and cold meats from Curd & Cure , eggs from Barradale Farm , and a vast selection of sausages , lamb chops and bacon from Glovers Farm ! If you are looking for a charming family owned farm shop that cares about quality and flavour Broadditch is the right place for you .
