CONSERVATION IN ACTION CONT .
Relatively new to the conservation world is Hemsley Conservation Centre ( www . hemsleyconservationcentre . com ), established just 6 years ago in August 2015 . The small zoo has been committed to raising awareness of some of the world ' s least understood and endangered species , tirelessly working with a whole host of other conservation parks and zoos to help ensure the survival of so many animals .
Their brilliant philosophy is that the closer the public can get to these magmatic creatures – in a safe and nurturing environment – the more we can better understand why conservation efforts like Hemsley ’ s are so important and necessary for creating a new way of life for these animals and bettering the way we treat the natural world that we live in .
If seeing some majestic creatures this weekend tickles your fancy then you really are in for a treat , they have animals from all over the world including Australian wallabies and lorikeets , the notoriously smelly but totally adorable skunk , maned wolves , toucans and even armadillos !
There ’ s definitely never a dull moment at this small breeding centre ! All the creatures are expertly looked after by the Hemsley team and are encouraged to reproduce in a carefully monitored environment to help the continuation of certain species . In exciting news it ' s looking like Hemsley will no longer be the small kid on the block as the wildlife park has plans to expand their land , welcome a whole host of new animals to the zoo and add brand new visitor facilities .
If you ’ d like to visit the new and improved Hemsley Conservation Centre head to their website to purchase your £ 9.50 tickets now .
