Setting the bar

Kebbells is a brand new seafood bar and restaurant in the heart of Broadstairs .
With over 25 years ’ experience across the globe behind him ( including London , Europe and Asia ), Chef Patron Chris Branscombe-Ling has used locally sourced sustainable ingredients to create a menu that would not look out of place in any trendy city restaurant , whilst still maintaining the ‘ family feel ’ that Sarah Kebbell feels so passionately about .
The restaurant itself is beautifully designed but has a relaxed and informal vibe . Running the full length of the dining area is the sought after seafood bar . Sitting watching the chefs create exquisite specials and platters such as tuna tartare with brown crab meat tapioca crackers , English burrata with tomato , caramel-smoked figs and native lobsters with nduja butter is a real food lover ’ s treat in itself .
Oysters from Whitstable , Jersey or Maldon , are garnished with a generous helping of Exmoor caviar , each one plated with a story to add a little extra theatre to the whole experience .
Whether eating up at the bar , dining at a table inside or even enjoying the weather al fresco on the terrace , the menu is seasonal and changes weekly . It offers fresh sustainably sourced seafood from local day-boats and meats and vegetables from British and local farms- all to be enjoyed alongside a selection of fine wines and craft beers .
