The famous saying is that breakfast is the most important meal of the day , well quite frankly I object ! Brunch is by far , without argument , the most delicious , nutritious meal of the day – not to mention it is the perfect excuse to be social , and if you are so inclined drink bubbles or Bloody Mary ’ s until you are seeing two of every mouth-watering dish you ’ ve ordered .
From juicy eggs Benedict , to every single smashed avocado meal you could think of , to light as air pancakes , bacon , sausages , mushrooms – I mean what isn ’ t there to love ?! Plus unlike breakfast there is no getting up at ungodly hours to smush food into your face like an undead zombie while consuming unhealthy amounts of caffeine , just to keep from face planting into your smoked salmon laden eggs . This is not a brunch to be taken on by the faint of heart , trust us if you are looking for a light toast and oats kind of affair then this is not the place for you . They can definitely cater for you with a light portion of smoked salmon with avocado and poached eggs , but with so many more exciting things on offer why would you want to ? The portions are monstrous , and the ingredients straight out of a food lovers dream , bacon , fried eggs , maple syrup , fresh fruit , multi coloured unicornesque pancakes , waffles and Nutella ; there is no end to the magical dishes The Lane has devised for brunch lovers . The ‘ Kinderella ’ pancakes are the stuff of dreams , light as air , drenched in chocolate drizzle , topped off with a half melted Kinder Bueno , and sprinkled with hazelnuts to give the dish that extra incredible crunch .
