Make a bespoke customised leather notebook holder and learn all the basic skills required to produce almost any small leather good . A great opportunity to start a journey of making beautiful things . Along the way you will learn about different leathers , techniques and tools ; use the provided pattern to produce a leather cover for a standard 5.5 x 3.5 notebook ; be guided on how to design and draw out and customise a pattern ; learn all about the different tools used in leather working and how to use them ; learn how to cut out , assemble and mark for stitching ; learn and practice the techniques of the traditional saddle stitch to complete the assembly of your notebook ; and learn how to finish your project with edge burnishing techniques and other small but important details that add to the overall professional look . All tools , equipment and materials are provided , as well as a free notebook to take away with you , but please note , there ’ ll be a small charge for the leather that you use .

Owned and run by Rani , who has a heart-warming story about her 7 year journey into ceramics ; from never having done pottery before to falling in love with a bowl whilst pregnant with her first son ; to 3 sons later and following the long road to get to where she is today . The workshops are run by Angela Pressley , who holds a BA ( Hons ) in textile design and has worked in the fashion , textile and the dancewear industry for over 30 years both in London and Italy . Angela also mentors GCSE , A-level and DofE students and those working on their college portfolios .
