Love the World of Life Drawing at The Secret Drawing Club
An immersive , tranquil and sociable life drawing club run by husband and wife , Nick , an artist and lecturer and Louise , a professional life model . The club ( and couple ) is very well regarded locally and it definitely brightened up iK ’ s Lucy ’ s lockdown when she did it via zoom ( especially when adding in shock on her children ’ s faces when they wandered past the computer !)
Every week is a different theme with various poses . You start the session with a warm-up quickfire round of sketches , and then have a longer period to work on a set pose . The session is accompanied by a specially put together playlist every week , and you are provided with light refreshments , homemade cakes , tea and coffee . If you wish for gentle guidance and tuition , it is on-hand and the setting is relaxed but designed to help challenge and progress your skills .
The Secret Drawing Club runs every Monday at the beautiful Edwardian building of the Chichester Memorial Hall in Sandgate where there is ample space and amenities for members to enjoy their experience
