CHICKENSTOCK FESTIVAL nr Sittingbourne 22 - 25 July
Nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside , this boutique musical affair brings together a selection of folk , acoustic , rock , country blues , and roots music in a picturesque setting . The capacity of the festival may have drastically increased since the original long weekender back in 2018 , but the feel is still very much local .
Stocking alcohol from local breweries , supporting l0cal eateries and producers and benefiting a local animal charity , are just some of the things the festival is doing to support local communities .
Headline acts this year include 3 Daft Monkeys , the festival favourites with Celtic and Eastern influences ; Hayseed Dixie , the American ACDC tribute band ; and Jamie Williams and the Roots Collective just to name a few .
Tickets start from £ 20 for a day ticket and £ 79 for the full weekend , but be sure to grab them quickly , as they sell out fast ! SAUSAGE AND CIDER FESTIVAL Detling Showground 24th July
This year for the first time the world famous Sausage and Cider festival will be gracing Kent with its deliciousness ! Arriving at the Kent Showground this summer , experience a spectacular day of festival fun with live music , games and some very interesting eating competitions . The range of sausages come from all over the world , work your way through the list showcasing the very best of German sausages : the bratwurst , the cheese bratwurst and the currywurst , available with all the extras ! For the sausage and the glory , try the Lincolnshire – typically British , or the black pudding – yum . And , for those feeling a little more brave , get the taste buds tingling with the famously hot jalapeno or the ‘ dragon ’ – no explanation needed . Wash that down with a pint of cold cider , and you ’ ll know that summer has arrived . If you ' re planning on sampling the 30 different cider menu , it may be best to stick to the 20mm tasters .

MARGATE SOUL FESTIVAL Margate 6 - 8 August
With no less that nine indoor venues , four outdoor stages and a carnival finale at the iconic Margate Winter Gardens , Margate Soul Festival boasts a line up including the likes of Emeli Sande , Melba Moore and The Brand New Heavies , amongst other renown live acts and DJs , for this not-to-be-missed early summer soulfest !
