With collection available from The Astor Theatre , on Wednesdays 5pm-8.30pm and Thursdays through to Saturdays 5pm-9pm , and delivery within 5 miles , you can experience a taste of Jamaica and England that you will not find anywhere else .
In terms of what ' s on offer , there is an incredible array of colourful cuisine to choose from , including a whole jerk chicken that has been marinated in a range of secret spices for 24 hours ! Or why not try something different with a taste of goat curry ; a true Caribbean feast ! For the perfect family friendly meal opt for the ultimate BBQ box which has enough food to brighten up anyone ' s dreary February evenings . The packed-full-of-flavour box includes ; 1 / 2 a jerk chicken , jerk pork belly , BBQ pork ribs , sticky wings , fries , chargrilled pita , slaw , fried dumplings and gravy . And don ’ t forget to end your meal in style with Dexter ’ s own guilty pleasure ; the deep fried bounty with rum sauce !

Al Chickone , as the name suggests , is the ultimate gangster of the take-away chicken world . Normally based at Ashford Outlet this little truck may be pretty unassuming to the untrained eye , but once you get brought into the inner circle and get to try the goods , you will know you ’ ll never taste chicken like this from anywhere else . Their menu includes rich truffle and parmesan fries , halloumi fries , and , of course , what Al Chickone is famous for ; their delicious , crispy , buttermilk chicken served in a classically sweet waffle cone with a choice of homemade sauces including flaming buffalo and sweet tangy Jack Daniels BBQ . So whatever you crave , this food truck is delivering sweet and savoury perfection to Kent .
When I was lucky enough to visit in between lockdowns I chose to grab 3 meaty chicken strips , with some scrumptious truffle fries . The fiery secret spice mix , that makes the chicken so delicious , covers every millimetre of the perfectly fried , succulent strips – the flavour rubbed off perfectly onto the thin , crispy fries below . The chicken came with pickled peppers sprinkled over the strips and I opted for a generous drizzle of hot buffalo sauce . The combination of flavours ; the sweet peppers , the tangy , mouthwatering chicken , the spicy sauce and the crispy , cheesy fries makes for a delightful chicken experience .
