Rad Burger has been a staple take-out joint in Canterbury since they appeared in the city as a permanent resident at the City Feast Street Food Pop-Up on Orange Street . Since the initiation of lockdown 3.0 they have been stuffing hungry residents tummies full of delicious burgers and fries 7 days a week from 4pm to 9pm .
It was soon clear to see what the hype was about as our own banging burgers were served up for collection . No matter your burger persuasion , they ’ ll be a choice for you ...
The Hyper Burger – 5oz aged chuck steak patty , triple american cheese , smoked streaky bacon , ketchup , mustard mayo , dill pickles , tobacco onions , and rocket , packed into beautifully toasted brioche bun – is the ultimate indulgent classic . Juicy and flavoursome , every ingredient is so perfectly selected and placed , each flavour is so complimentary , that it becomes a symphony of flavour that oozes melt in the mouth goodness with every bite . Want to go wild ? The Rodeo offers an alternative classic beef option – oozing juicy patty , double american cheese , smoked streaky bacon with lashings of bbq sauce and huge crisp onion rings to bring a flavour punch . If chicken is more your thing , opt for the Rad Chicken and prepare the taste buds for a full on flavour and spice onslaught from its southern fried chicken fillet , halloumi , smoked streaky bacon , tarragon mayo , and its sweet , spicy hit courtesy of the lashings of chilli jam – you won ’ t be disappointed !
As for the sides , don ’ t miss the huge perfectly crispy halloumi fries whilst the main fries ... Well , as I was arranging all my different sauce options , an absentminded bite of a chip was followed by intense flavour and the sudden realisation that these magnificent potato creations need no sauce . Crunchy on the outside , soft and fluffy on the inside and delicately flavoured with just the right amount of salt and rosemary , they are what one might call the perfect chip ; one that needs no embellishment , nor accompaniment and ready to be devoured !

The one-of-a-kind seafood restaurant is offering a luxury takeout service during lockdown , with some incredibly delicious fish centred dishes on the menu .
Available on Deliveroo , Just Eat , UberEats and for in-person collection from their fabulous restaurant on St . Dunstans Street , this is the perfect option for a delightful February treat for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday 5pm-9.30pm . The extensive dinner menu includes seafood classics such as crab cakes and oysters for starters , with succulent lobster available for mains .
Ordering from Chapman ’ s it was reassuring to see that popular dine-in choices had made the eat-athome-menu . The crispy calamari is a must ! Delicate crisp panko gives way to soft squid , with a flavour punch from the black garlic and squid ink aioli , bringing a true restaurant experience to your own dinner table . I decided to push the boat out and also opt for the glazed tiger prawns to start . The dish came with a monster portion of the crustaceans with a splash of herb oil drizzled over them . The delicate taste of the ocean mixed with the melt in the mouth meat made a seafood melody to die for . The illusively named Sea Burger was next , providing an indulgent seafood extravaganza . The burger turned out to be a perfect mix of prawns and scallops , both light , delicate flavours that compliment each other no end , drizzled with a Chapman ’ s very own secret sauce and sandwiched in-between a perfectly spongy brioche bun . A seafood medley of extravagance awaits you when you order from Chapman ’ s of Canterbury .
