For an ultra-indulgent cocktail this Christmas , why not try this festive twist on the classic espresso favourite ?
Ingredients :
• Green & Blacks Hot Chocolate
• 1 / 4 Fresh orange
• Shot of espresso – we recommend Lost Sheep Coffee
• 50ml Coxy ’ s Kentish Coffee Liqueur made with Lost Sheep ’ s ‘ Get to the Hopper ’
• 50ml Copper Rivet Vela Vodka
Method :
1 . Chill down a martini glass by filling with ice and standing to one side .
2 . Firstly we are going to make the chocolate and orange espresso , if you have a coffee pod machine the easiest way to do this is to pour into a mug one shot of espresso using Lost Sheep Coffee ’ s coffee pod .
3 . Next , into your mug add 2 spoons of Green & Blacks Hot Chocolate and then squeeze in the juice of 1 / 4 fresh orange . Mix until the liquid is smooth .
4 . Add your coffee mix into a cocktail shaker along with 50ml Copper Rivet Vela Vodka and Coxy ’ s Coffee Liqueur ( you can add in sugar to taste at this point but with the chocolate I don ’ t think it ’ s needed ) and 5 cubes of ice - shake for 1 minute .
5 . Empty your martini glass of ice and strain in your cocktail . Garnish with a dusting of chocolate powder and a slice or star of orange peel on the rim of the glass .
