A diverse and exciting 21st century curriculum : Last year Homewood achieved the accolade of being graded ‘ Red Hot ’ for student progress across both academic and BTEC subjects by the highly respected Alps organisation . Homewood offers an extremely wide range of A level and vocational Level 3 courses for post 16-study . This now includes A Level Madarin Chinese and also the latest IB qualification - which combines the best of vocational subject study with a study skills , international and community learning programme to ensure young people acquire the skills set and outlook needed in the workplace .
Excellent results : Homewood has an excellent track record for examination success , as the 4th best state school in Kent for pupil progress in the official DofE 2019 league tables and with 96 % of sixth formers accepted by their first or second university choice in that year . This summer ’ s results were equally strong with places at many top universities to study subjects as diverse as medicine , ship science and film production , and a place at Cambridge for one of the school ’ s highest achievers . Over the years our alumni have achieved great success in all walks of life as doctors , teachers , lawyers , engineers , scientists , editors , entrepreneurs , dancers , artists , musicians , and even a Michelin-starred chef .
