Stamp Duty Holiday Ends on 1st April 2021
Following the announcement by Rishi Sunak on the 8th July outlining the governments 2nd Phase of the economic response to COVID-19 , buyers have been enjoying a Stamp Duty Holiday for residential purchases up to £ 500,000 . This means as a buyer you will pay 0 % stamp duty on any residential purchase up to this level subject to any additional charges , further information can be found at https :// www . gov . uk / stamp-duty-land-tax .
Previously set at a threshold of £ 125,000 , the Stamp Duty Holiday comes to an end on the 1st April 2021 which means now is a perfect time to offer your property for sale or to purchase your next ( or first !) property via auction .
