FOOD+DRINK BE A #CARINGCUSTOMER AND WIN! MAIDSTONE DISTILLERY RELEASES RANSCOMBE WILD SMALL BATCH GIN The Maidstone Distillery is releasing its second gin, Ranscombe Wild Small Batch Gin, in partnership with wild plant charity Plantlife. The contemporary, artisan gin is distilled with botanicals, including beech leaves, poppy seeds and red clover foraged from Plantlife’s flagship nature reserve, Ranscombe Farm in Cuxton, along with jasmine flower and tangerine, to create a herbaceous and zesty gin inspired by the ancient landscape of Kent. A donation from every bottle sold, which features illustrations of some of the botanicals by Maidstone Distillery co-founder Sam Graves, will go to Plantlife to help with its valuable conservation work to save wildflowers. Sam said: “This flavoursome and unique gin is a fantastic second release to come from our Distillery and is distilled with 18 exotic botanicals – working with a local botanical specialist at Ranscombe to understand some of the floral gems has been an eye opener and we are really proud of what we have achieved”. Ranscombe Wild follows the release of the distillery’s flagship product, George Bishop London Dry Gin, which is a homage to the founder of the first Maidstone Distillery dating back to 1785.
