THE ONLY THING GETTING US OUT OF BED ON A MONDAY MORNING; AVID COFFEE DRINKERS KNOW
LIFE TRULY DOES BEGIN AFTER THAT FIRST SIP IN THE MORNING. IT IS QUITE LITERALLY THE
PERFECT BEVERAGE FOR ANY OCCASION, SUMMER OR WINTER, RAIN OR SHINE, COFFEE IS THE
DRINK WE ALWAYS REACH FOR. SO LUCKY FOR US THAT KENT BOASTS A HOST OF AWARD-WINNING

Canterbury has some of the best cafes going, but
over on Tannery Square, away from the hustle and
bustle of the high street is Coffee Curiosity
(www.coffeecuriosity.com), a one of a kind speciality
coffee shop that offers everything from rich artisan
coffee to delicious, flaky pastries. Open Tuesday to
Saturday 9am until 3pm, Cafe Curiosity has tons of
outside seating, fluffy companions are always
welcome, and offer a take away service, so whether
you’re looking for a relaxed brew in the sun or are
making the daily dash to work, Coffee Curiosity is
here to cure your caffeine woes. Cold Blow Coffee
is used in the cafe, which is hand roasted locally in
Tenterden, making this a thoroughly Kentish affair.
The green coffee is sourced from the highest graded
beans, and Cold Blow works directly with importers
and farmers to ensure that from start to finish their
business is run ethically. At Coffee Curiosity their
motto is ‘the experience is just as important as the
coffee itself’, which is easy to see thanks to they're
friendly staff, gorgeous location and an atmosphere
that radiates happy, relaxed vibes where you are
welcome to bring a book and read, or enjoy a slice
of cake while chatting to one of their lovely baristas.
Steep Street Coffee House (www.steepstreet.co.uk)
located on The Old High Street in Folkestone is a
gem of a local book cafe, that not only sells incredible
in-house brews, but also a range of their very own
bagged coffees that you can take away and enjoy in
the comfort of your own home! Founded in 2015,
this independent cafe has taken inspiration from the
famous book cafés of Paris and is environmentally
conscious; using only biodegradable cups and
packaging, and ensuring that, as a business, none of
their waste ends up in a landfill. Plus their House
Blend Coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified, meaning
this company is having a positive impact on not only
their local community but the world in general. They
sell a plethora of speciality, artisan coffee, not only
in their café, but also on their website, meaning
everyone can grab a bit of the Steep Street life! Their
coffee blends include their creamy chocolate orange
house blend, a floral rose and molasses decaf blend
and a Costa Rican Honey speciality coffee with hints
of apricots and wildflower honey. If you need us we
will be sampling every single one.
