GABRIELLE Enjoy amazing food and a great line-up of live music, all from the safety of your own private enclosure at Pub in the Park’s innovative drive in Garden Party. The legendary ‘Pub in the Park style’, will still be on offer with a choice of five different restaurants; courtesy of Michelin starred chefs including Tom Kerridge, Atul Kochhar and Paul Ainsworth as well as offering three hours of feelgood live music and wicked DJ sets from acts including Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, 80s legend Rick Astley, Groove Armada DJ Set, Soul II Soul, Scouting for Girls, Squeeze, Steve Harley, Gabrielle and the awesome Basement Jaxx. Drinks hampers, which can be pre ordered or purchased on the day, will be safely delivered to visitors’ enclosures, and guests will also be to soak up the atmosphere by wandering the perimeter of the main arena and visiting the artisan car boot sale. Commenting on the announcement, Tom Kerridge said “We remain committed to providing great food and drink events throughout these difficult and complicated times. But we’re also looking forward to returning to a full tour in 2021”. Over the last three years ‘Making a Buzz for the Coast’, run by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust has created flower rich stepping stones to connect local bumblebee populations. Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project engaged thousands of members of the public, with many hundreds helping by converting to beefriendly gardening, surveying for bumblebees and raising awareness of the many and varied bumblebee species in the county. Our garden of England is home to 22 of the UK's 24 species of bumblebees, a vital part of the county’s heritage, including one of the UK's rarest, the Shrill Carder bee. Emma Lansdell from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust said “Through working with our project partners, amazing volunteers and landowners, 2019 was a fantastic year for creating much needed habitat for bumblebees. Working together, we are securing the beautiful north Kent coast as one of the UK’s strongholds for our vital pollinating bumblebees.” FEELING THE LATIN HEAT AT THE ORCHARD THEATRE Strictly Come Dancing’s Karen Hauer and Gorka Marquez are set to return in 2021 with their Latin spectacular FIREDANCE.
