THE CITY OF ANGELS, LOS ANGELES.
Having settled into the laid-back California vibe in
San Diego and beaten the jet lag, it was time to pack
up and move out as we headed north along interstate
405 to Los Angeles. Set in a desert basin with the
Pacific on one side, mountains on the other, glorious
Southern California sunshine and about 4 million

people living the dream in the entertainment capital
of the world, LA has it all – from the hipster Venice
Beach and sunset mecca of Santa Monica Pier, the
shop-til-you-drop luxury boutiques of Rodeo Drive
in Beverly Hills, the film studio tours and Walk of
Fame leading the chorus of ‘hooray for Hollywood’,
and enough dining spots to keep you amazed and
sated for eternity. We were ready to hit the town,
Tinseltown (and the shops and the beach, and the
museums, and the theme parks, and the ballpark)
and live like an A-Lister.
