KENT COLLEGE: LIFE BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
At Kent College, we know that the school day doesn’ t end when lessons do. Academic study and excellence remain at the core of a Kent College education, but that is complemented by a wealth of opportunities beyond the classroom, where students can discover new passions, build confidence and develop skills that will stay with them for life.
With over 100 co-curricular opportunities available, there’ s something to suit every interest. Students can explore everything from cricket to musical theatre, codebreaking to cooking skills, debating to Knit and Natter. Whether they’ re discovering a new hobby or developing an existing talent, these experiences encourage students to step outside their comfort zone, work collaboratively, make lasting friendships and say yes to opportunities.
Some of the most memorable moments at school happen beyond the classroom: starring in a school drama production, representing your team on the sports field, or reaching the summit of Snowdonia during a Duke of Edinburgh expedition.

Through initiatives such as KC Bees, Eco-Warriors and EduKid, students are encouraged to engage with the wider world. This year, a group of students travelled to Peru with EduKid, visiting local schools, meeting communities and seeing firsthand the life-changing impact of education. Experiences like these encourage students to look beyond their own horizons, developing a greater understanding of the world around them.
We nurture talent. For example, one student has just completed a 22-day run of a one-person show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, while another was crowned winner of the National Cipher Challenge, achieving a perfect score and receiving their award at GCHQ, Bletchley Park. Others performed as choristers at the installation of the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury at Canterbury Cathedral.
Every journey is different, but they all begin with an opportunity to explore an interest alongside academic study. At Kent College, we’ re globally minded and every student is individually known, giving each young person the chance to shine.
