THE GEOLOGY OF KENT Tyland Barn, Maidstone
A day of learning about the geology of Kent’ s landscape from the oldest rocks to the youngest sediment. The day will start with an introduction to geology, where you will look at some of the oldest sedimentary beds in East Kent alongside different rock types that make up the High Weald and the Low Weald. By the end of the day, you will have an appreciation for how the physical landscape of the county reflects the underlying geology. Suitable for 18 +.

A TALE OF TWO CITIES Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury 14- 19 Sept
Join a Marlowe Theatre production set in 1770’ s Paris; the French Revolution is stirring and as the Reign of Terror moves through the city, the price of love will either be a lifeline or a sentence to the guillotine. Adapted by Terence Rattigan and John Gielgud, the best-selling novel by Charles Dickens will be directed by Micheal Fentiman and made in Kent, where themes of love, sacrifice and redemption are at the heart of this production.
