BRANDS HATCH TO HOST LONDON E-PRIX IN 2027
Formula E and the FIA have announced the provisional calendar for the 2026 / 27 season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Featuring its most expansive season yet, with 21 races across 13 global cities, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will gain a historic new home in the UK as the London E-Prix moves to the legendary Brands Hatch for an action-packed double-header weekend. As the iconic venue celebrates a monumental 100 years of racing history, this transition sees Brands Hatch begin its second century by placing the cutting-edge GEN4 era at the heart of its events calendar.
The move brings the pinnacle of electric racing to a circuit steeped in motorsport lore, blending heritage with future-facing innovation. Fans can expect an unforgettable weekend as the grid tackles the venue’ s legendary layout.
As Formula E and the FIA prepare to introduce the GEN4 car, its significant increase in power and performance requires circuits built for extreme racing. This has driven a natural shift toward established permanent venues, while maintaining the championship’ s commitment to its city-centre roots. The new locations aim to strike a balance between tracks capable of handling GEN4’ s speed and accessibility from major urban hubs.
KENT FARM VET WINS NATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD
Paul Horwood, a Romney Marsh farm vet has been named the winner of the prestigious BVA Veterinary Leader Awards 2026.
Supported by Vetnique- YuMOVE Veterinary, this award recognises an inspirational leader who has driven positive change, fostered innovation and made a lasting difference to colleagues, the profession and animal welfare.
Farm vet and UK head of farm and exports for Inspiring Vet Care, Paul has won the award for inspiring and supporting others through calm, principled and highly effective leadership, guiding organisations and individuals through complex situations with clarity and confidence.
“ I’ m genuinely honoured to receive this award and say a big thank you to those who nominated me,” said Paul.“ I feel incredibly fortunate to work with talented colleagues who challenge, support and inspire me every day, and this award is as much a reflection of them as it is of me.”
The BVA Awards celebrate veterinary professionals who go above and beyond for their patients and clients, champion workplace wellness, drive positive change across sustainability, demonstrate exceptional leadership and mentoring, and help advance veterinary science.
WOMEN WARRIORS UK CIC LAUNCHES ACROSS KENT
Women Warriors UK CIC, Kent’ s newest women’ s community movement, is launching three outdoor bootcamp locations across West Kent this summer. Founded by Claire Aves, a finalist on SAS: Who Dares Wins and women’ s empowerment advocate, the initiative is more than a fitness programme.
Women-only, military-inspired outdoor bootcamp sessions are available for women aged 18 and over. Running across four-week training blocks, the sessions are designed to build physical strength, mental resilience and a genuine sense of community.
The community welcomes all women, with no fitness experience required. Every participant starts as a recruit and has the opportunity to become a warrior.
“ Women Warriors exist because I lived the journey from pain to power myself,” said Claire Aves.“ I know what it feels like to need something that doesn’ t exist yet- so I built it. This is for every woman in Kent who has ever felt like fitness, community or strength wasn’ t for her. It is for her. It always was.”
Following the summer launch, Women Warriors plans to expand to five Kent locations within six months.
