Inside The Playbook Week 14 2014 | Page 29

Talked about mid year as the team who has lost their mojo... Nick Saban is in the hotseat... have they past their reign at the top? 'Bama Sit number 1 for the second straight week, although that could change in weeks to come as the Crimson Tide have some tough games against ranked opponents starting this week against the 16th ranked Missouri outfit.

COLLEGE CORNER

Oregon just keep on pounding. Behind the exhilarating play of QB Marcus Mariota, the Ducks have been nothing short of exceptional this season. Their high octane offense is nearly impossible to stop and averaging 45 points a game, the Ducks face one of there toughest tests to date facing the Arizona Wildcats who ranked 7th in this weeks National Rankings.

TCU!!!! Finally in the top 4, although higher than many expected, 6 wins on the trot will only keep them around the top 4 (or in it) and when they are winning comfortably, they deserve their spot in the top 4. QB Trevone Boykin is having a fantastic season for the Horned Frogs and if TCU keep winning they hold themselves in good stead to feature in the first ever college playoff series.

The Florida State Seminoles are undefeated this year and many would have them ahead of TCU in the rankings....The Seminoles may be undefeated but the play of QB Jameis Winston is much to be desired and they seem to be coming from behind against ranked or unranked teams every week. They deserve to be in the playoff picture but until they start winning games more convincingly they aren't moving up. It's an understandable ranking for the Seminoles, trust me.
