COLTS @ BROWNS
Colts vs Browns 3 weeks ago could have pushed game of the week claims but since Browns QB Brian Hoyer lost the plot, the Browns have also despite the return of star Receiver Josh Gordon. The Colts on the other hand have taken advantage of a relatively easy schedule the past few weeks and sit well entrenched at the top of the AFC South and seem bound to be looking ahead to playoff football in the coming weeks.
Andrew Luck (pictured right) has been touted as the best QB in the game at some points this year and with wide receiver T.Y. Hilton having a career year you have to wonder how much of that can be credited to Luck's play. Luck has thrown for a career high 34 Touchdowns, 11 interceptions and 4,011 yards through the air with 4 games to go this season. Hilton is having a breakout season for the Colts, finishing 2013 strong, Hilton has continued his strong play with 1,145 yards, 5 TD's and is averaging 16.8 yards a reception.
Defensively the Colts have held their own and done enough in most of their games. Inside Linbacker D'Qwell Jackson is having a career year for sacks with 4.0 on the season but his 101 combined tackles mainly against the run has been just as damaging to opposition backs and is the stalwart of the Colts defense for 2014.
Brian Hoyer benched, that's all you need to know about how the Cleveland Browns
season has dramatically changed in the space of two weeks. With the Browns coaching staff still undecided on who to play as their starting QB it's hard to pump the tyres of anyone on the Browns offense besides Josh Gordon who has played 2 games back from suspension and is averaging just under 100 yards per game after those two weeks.
The Browns defense must feel hard done by; Cornerbacks Joe Haden and Buster Skrine have combined for 7 inerceptions, add Free Safety Tashaun Gibson 6 interceptions which is best in the league the Browns have a huge threat with the passing game to opposition teams.
With the offense of the Browns the way it is at the moment and the question marks over who will even start at QB, it's almost impossible for me to pick them in this one against a team who looks destined to be in the thick of playoff action in January.
