INSIDE THE PLAYBOOK
POWER RANKINGS
24. NEW YORK GIANTS (3-6) --
Started well against the defending champs, but fell away at the end. Beckham looks like a star in the making.
23. ATLANTA (3-6) +3
Despite its poor record and only just putting away the Buccaneers, they might be division leaders after next week.
22. CAROLINA (3-6-1) -1
Was completely outplayed by the Eagles on Monday Night Football. Newton clearly looks injured, and their bye can’t come soon enough.
21. MINNESOTA (4-5) +1
If Peterson is reactivated this is a whole new team and can go deep.
20. HOUSTON (4-5) -1
Had the bye this week, but is constantly improving.
19. NEW ORLEANS (4-5) -4
Should have sealed the win against the 49ers, but bad time management and horrible coverage in the deep cost them the game.
18. SAN DIEGO (5-4) --
It is hard to remember that this team knocked off Seattle, but their shock loss to Miami still lingers. Ryan Mathews is back this week and changes the offense.
17. CINCINNATI (5-3-1) -6
Can you believe this team is still sitting in a playoff spot after the demoralizing performance it showed against the Browns on Thursday Night Football. Loaded with talent, they now have to show us how good they really are.
