• Significant numbers of tiny pieces of plastic, almost too small to warrant
collecting. This is just the type of waste that scientists are concerned about as
they are ingested by fish and crustaceans and do not decompose.
• Wire fishing line and tangled nets are likely to trap fish, lobsters, small octopus
and turtles.
(Whilst we were collecting in Kardamyli bay we came across the turtle here still
unharmed …. thank goodness.
