If you didn’t get to see the Top Gear Live
show held late October at the NEC then
you missed a great show. There were
some great stunts, racing and in this era
of health and safety, they even managed
to set fire to a few cars - which in turn set
fire to the arena floor.
Running alongside the arena
performance was the equally spectacular
track show; it featured the “Stig” and the
Top Gear Live Exhibition. There were
vehicle displays, racing and spectator
memorabilia and loads of gadgets and
props from the Top Gear studio, all this

famous cars to have appeared on the
show.

Also featured and looking great under
the show lights were the MASCAR cars.
It was amazing to see these mini
NASCARS race around the arena with the
last car being eliminated after each lap
until there was one car left who was
classed as the winner. The crowd loved it
and so did I.
Everyone their seemed to love the show
and the interest shown in MASCAR from
the BBC producers could lead to better
things for the 2013 race series.
With my media pass held high and
access to all areas, I found myself back
stage rubbing shoulders with Shane
Lynch from Boyzone and even managed
Will we see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard
Hammond or James May racing with
them on a track near you?
