Welcome to issue eight and our World final special. By now you should have taken
your seats at Kings Lynn wondering who will be the 2013/14 World Champion. In
this issue there’s a grid lay out and spaces for the foreign drivers and last ditch
qualifiers to be written in and we have given you a place to fill in winners and
runners up.
We have also taken a look at six of this year’s World Final competitors. Maybe one
of these is your favourite, for us, it was just impossible to choose who will come out
on top. However, I’m going to stick my neck out and say I think the World
Champion “WILL” be one of our six. Why not take a look at page 14, where Paul
Hines gives us his take on the big one - from behind the wheel.
What else have we? Another Des Penny cartoon and a competition involving our
newest recruit Julie Fenton - the Lundy or Harrison book is our prize for the best
photo. Jamie Davidson goes State Side on page six, trying his best to get involved
in the Sprint car scene across the pond. We also have articles on the British
Champion and the Gold Cup winners in Venray, including Luke’s win in the
memorial race.
On page 40 we take a look at the “Outlaw” Stock Cars. In particular a two car team
from Barrow, Team F.F.P. and there’s another piece from Ireland, Ballymena
Raceway and the F2s, courtesy of Richard Boyd. With Stox Karts, UK Modifieds
and an interview with a Kiwi racer from a land down under, there’s yet another 48
pages of Oval action.
A quick word about the increase in price, although we have had increased
production costs since we first started, we’ve kept the price the same until now.
However, we will keep the “Subscription” costs the same until next year, so if you
want an even better deal, contact us at the office or take a look at our website as
subscriptions can be done on line. www.insidestockcarworld.co.uk
Keep the stories and pictures coming in and we’ll keep you ‘in the know’, whether
it’s F1, F2 Stox Karts or any of the oval formula, you can bet “we got it covered”.
