Buxton Raceway
Buxton Raceway is set in the
beautiful Peak District and boasts
a 380 metre tarmac oval with
steel plate fencing and a figure of
eight circuit.
We have great facilities for your
comfort including a covered
stand, licenced bar and a
shop selling soft drinks, stickers
and the popular oval racing
magazines.
Mobile promotional vans provide
opportunities to buy merchandise
including our own Buxton
Raceway Branded items.
Some track-side parking is

available at most meetings.
Hot Fords, RookiRods and
recently have introduced Junior
Rods.
Buxton Raceway was formerly
known as 'High Edge' and
retired promoter Dave Pierce
says: "Racing originally started at
Buxton in 1974. I asked George
Mycock's widow but she’s
uncertain of the exact date.
These are our bread and butter
and keep the track going on
domestic meetings.
Buxton has many local formulas
including National Bangers,
Bombers, 1300 Saloon Stock
Cars, Super Bangers, Hot Rods,
The BriSCA F1s have attended
twice this year and both meetings
have provided some action-
It was just a field with huge tyres
around the outside back then but
now it’s radically changed to what
we see today."
They also provide excellent
support for when we have the
visiting formulas such as BriSCA
F1 Stock Cars, BriSCA F2 Stock
Cars, National MiniStox, UK
Modifieds, StoxKarts and the V8
