It’s hard to believe that BriSCA
Heritage has been active now for
almost a decade, since founder
Keith Barber's vision finally came
to reality at the 2004 Golden
Jubilee meeting.
Keith restored the famous
vintage Harold 'Bozzy' Bosworth
car back in 1971 and it was
always his pipe dream to have a
'rolling museum' of iconic old
cars to illustrate 'the good old
days'. Since then, Mr Barber
has joined forces with veteran
driver and ex-truck racer Roy
Clark and the Heritage class has
flourished and grown beyond all
expectations.
The original handful of old cars
shown at exhibitions has been
transformed into an entire
exhibition in its own right with
several divisions each providing
fast and furious on-track action.
Those initial events saw small

Ford Pop and Model Y Juniors
happily mixing with much larger
50s American Coupes, some
1960s F1 cars and even a huge
Cadillac Coupe de Ville at one
point. Although it was visually
spectacular to see these classics
reliving oval race history,
increased numbers brought
health and safety issues which
meant the cars had to run in
separate classes.
