Hello and welcome to the last edition of
Inside Speedway Magazine for 2013.
For the last issue of the year we have one of Britain’s most
dedicated racers on the cover. Chris Harris returns to the Grand Prix
series for next season in what is set to be a career defining season
for him. Chris talks openly to our reporter Shaun Reynolds about
how he almost gave up the sport, thankfully he didn’t and i’m sure
you will all get behind him this year.
Rising stars Richie Worrall and Ricky Wells discuss the season
ahead with their respective clubs while Thomas H Jonasson reveals
why his season was tough despite winning the title with Poole in
October.
World Longtrack champion Joonas Kylmakorpi chats to Scott
Frame about picking up his fourth title in as many years, and Mark
Lemon reveals what it takes to be successful both on and off the
track.
Moving on to the magazine as a whole. It has been a great year
since our first issue was launched in March. Moving from digital
publication (Speedway365) to print with Inside Speedway has
proved at times to be difficult, but I am glad that the team and
I have now completed what was set out at the start of the year.
Inside Speedway Magazine has been a fantastic collaboration
between some of the most talented writers within the sport and
long may it continue.
In 2014, Inside Speedway Magazine will be changing. Due to
increasing costs of printed material we have taken the decision only
to publish on digital platforms next year. I know some of you will
want to have a physical copy, but at the moment that is not a viable
option for the business to be successful on a long term basis.
While our competitors have raised the price of their publication,
we are driven to bringing the cost down and make it affordable to
everyone who is able to view online on a mobile device.
More details will be released soon as we iron out the final details,
keep an eye on our website and our twitter feed in the coming
weeks.
