Joy Himmel Appointed
to AAAHC Board ҉ Congratulations ҉
Joy Himmel , PsyD , director for Counseling Services , has been appointed as the new Board Chair Elect of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care ( AAAHC ), effective November 5 , 2023 through November 2024 .
Founded in 1979 , AAAHC is the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation with more than 6,600 organizations accredited including and beyond student health centers . AAAHC advocates for the provision of high-quality health care through the development and adoption of nationally recognized standards .
Dr . Jenn Grimm Delivers Keynote Address

The Old Dominion Advising Network hosted its eleventh fall advising conference , offering attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas , learn new practices , and network . This year , the keynote speaker was Dr . Jenn Grimm from the Office of Leadership and Learning , Her presentation , “ We ’ re All in This Together ,” was delivered to more than 100 attendees .
Administrative & Professional Faculty Senate Appointments
ODU ’ s administrative and professional faculty has elected four SEES representatives . The senate will serve as a liaison between ODU ’ s AP faculty and university administration , and senators will serve a two-year term to coincide with the academic year .
