Las lluvias de enero alivian la situación de los embalses en la provincia de Cádiz El inicio de 2026 ha traído un cambio de tendencia en la situación hídrica de la provincia de Cádiz, donde los embalses han experimentado una recuperación apreciable tras las lluvias registradas durante el mes de enero. Las precipitaciones han permitido incrementar las reservas acumuladas, mejorando un escenario que en los últimos años había estado marcado por la escasez de agua. Los sistemas de embalses que abastecen a la provincia presentan actualmente niveles claramente superiores a los registrados a comienzos de 2025 y se sitúan por encima de la media reciente, lo que supone un alivio tanto para el consumo urbano como para los usos agrícolas. Este repunte se atribuye principalmente a varios frentes húmedos consecutivos que han dejado lluvias generalizadas en buena parte del territorio gaditano. Desde los organismos responsables de la gestión del agua se valora de forma positiva esta evolución, aunque se insiste en que la mejora no debe interpretarse como el final de los problemas estructurales vinculados a la sequía. La variabilidad climática y la irregularidad de las precipitaciones continúan condicionando la planificación hídrica a medio y largo plazo.
