Spring Flower Show 2026
The Gibraltar Horticultural Society has announced the return of its much-anticipated Spring Flower Show Competition and Exhibition for 2026, set to take place from 14th to 17th April at the John Mackintosh Hall.
Participants are invited to submit their entries on 13th April between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, ahead of official judging on the morning of 14th April. This year’ s Adult Section will be judged by experienced flower arranger Sally Welch, while the Junior Section will be overseen by Jessica Leaper of Whole Wild World. Jessicar will also judge the schools’ Spring Flower Displays in situ on 13th April.
A standout feature of the event is the Urban Oasis Award, recognising exceptional greening initiatives across Gibraltar. The judging panel includes Andrew Abrines, Paul Passano, and Andrea Monteiro.

The Awards Ceremony will be held on 14th April at The Convent, with prizes presented by Sir Ben Bathurst, Minister John Cortes, and a representative from Cascais Construction. Winners of both the schools’ displays and the Urban Oasis Award will be revealed during the ceremony.
Open to the public until 17th April, the exhibition promises a vibrant showcase of horticulture, creativity, and community spirit. Organisers are encouraging residents and visitors alike to attend and celebrate Gibraltar’ s longstanding tradition of gardening and floral art.
