If you were one of the lucky\r\n7’000 partygoers to attend the 3-day BBC Radio 1\r\nparty at Ushuaia with the freshest music and\r\nhottest DJ sets, you should consider yourselves\r\nvery lucky!\r\nAside from being the party capital of the world,\r\nIbiza is also the third most spiritual place on the\r\nplanet. Many tourists visit the island to explore it’s\r\nnature, soak up in the spa retreatments high in the\r\nmountains and rejuvenate. I was incredibly lucky\r\nto be invited to visit Aguas de Ibiza, a five star\r\nlifestyle and spa hotel in Santa Eulalia del Rio.\r\nHotels like this really express what luxury lifestyle\r\nis. To read more about the reviving experience, go\r\nto page 38.\r\nOne of my favourite things to do when I am in\r\nIbiza is to socialize with the locals because you will\r\nnever know the island inside out if you don’t catch\r\nup with them. I absolutely love their way of living\r\nand understanding the importance of the culture\r\nand Island. Luckily, I was told a very guarded\r\nsecret about the most beautiful place on the\r\nIsland, you can find out where it is on page 42.\r\n\r\nMaria with Richie Hawtin\r\n\r\nIT DOESN’T GET\r\nBETTER\r\nTHAN THIS\r\n\r\nThe party season is officially over and what a\r\nyear it has been! New venues started perking up\r\non the outskirts of the island, newcomer DJs\r\ntook over the biggest and most exciting venues\r\nand we saw the luxury lifestyle in Ibiza being\r\npushed to its boundaries and beyond! But\r\nbefore we close this chapter and begin thinking\r\nabout booking trips for next year, let’s go back\r\nand see why this season was the best one yet!\r\nThe International Music Summit kicked off the\r\nparty season in May with live performances by\r\nSolomun, Pete Tong, Fat Boy Slim, Carl Cox and\r\nmany more.\r\nAs all the major clubs started opening, the\r\nisland was jammed packed with tourists eagerly\r\nexcited to get into the vibe and feel the\r\natmosphere. Between June and July, Ibiza\r\nwelcomed 600,000 tourists from around the\r\n\r\nWhen you are in Ibiza something kicks you inside\r\nto be more adventurous and exceed the limits. This\r\nyear I was persuaded to do Scuba diving and I can\r\nhappily say it’s not a sport I will ever try again,\r\n(after almost drowning twice) but on a positive\r\nnote I found the most adventurous water sports of\r\nthem all, Fly Board. If you haven’t tried it, it’s a\r\nmust!\r\nThis year marks a great milestone for the Inside\r\nibiza brand as we hosted four incredible events on\r\nthe White Isles and seeing our private members\r\ncome together to celebrate was certainly one of my\r\nhighlights. Read more about it on page 76.\r\nAs the closing season came to an end, another\r\nunmissable event was the annual DJ Awards and\r\nthis year we spent our time with the winners and\r\nkicking back with champagne, you can read more\r\nabout it on page 114.\r\nAs we reminisce of this past season and as the final\r\ncurtain closes for another year, we are\r\noverwhelmed with excitement, memories, and\r\nunforgettable sounds from world class DJs.
