news Moore Park Golf a leader in disability sport M oore Park Golf has become the first public golf course in Australia to enable people with severe physical disability to enjoy a round of golf. Now in its fifth year, the Mornington Peninsula Golf classic is one of the most popular annual golf events in the Melbourne area, representing world-class golf with all the excitement and fun that only the Mornington Peninsula can offer. Last month, the club announced the availability of The Paragolfer, a Germandesigned golf cart that was purchased through funds from the Centennial Parklands Foundation, which allows people with hemiplegia and quadriplegia the opportunity to experience this previously inaccessible sport. The event has become one of the “Must Play” tournaments on the Victorian golf calendar, and this year will be no exception.
