Karma Bites comes to Australia

Ashwin Ahuja , founder of Karma Bites , was struggling to find healthy-but-tasty snacks and was inspired by his family ’ s like of lotus seed .
After launching in the UK and 20 other countries , Ahuja and his partner David Burns brought Karma Bites to Australia a year ago , aiming to bring a healthier and better lifestyle to consumers .
“ After stumbling across Karma Bites at the Anuga Food Show in Germany in October 2019 , I noticed a gap in the Australian market for a unique , funky snack brand and knew it would pop off shelves ,” said Burns .
“ We ’ re thrilled to have Woolworths on board as a stockist of Karma Bites , sharing the good Karma to their customers and celebrating a new healthy way to snack .”
Matt Moran drops spirits line
Celebrity chef Matt Moran has launched a boutique gin and a whisky on Amazon .
Moran partnered with Tasmania ’ s McHenry Distillery to create Moran ’ s Blend 299 , a dry gin , and No . 9 , a whisky he says will appeal to the aficionado and first-timer alike .
The liquors form part of Amazon Australia ’ s new spirits line , Further South Spirits , sold exclusively on the online marketplace .
Moran says he developed the drinks to match some of his signature dishes .
“ As a chef , restaurateur and farmer , everything is about the flavour , but it goes beyond the food . When you come to one of my restaurants , the dining experience is about so much more – it ’ s about the food , sure , but it ’ s also about the service , the ambience , and – very importantly – what you drink .”
He hopes the collaboration will change the way Australians view gin .
