Bill and Theresa, the owners of Fairbanks House have been “green” since well before it became fashionable. The mansion, three cottages and pool rest on an eco-friendly beautifully landscaped acre featuring native plants, palm trees, large oaks and a butterfly garden. Over-sized rooms and suites offer guest baths, showers and Jacuzzi or Victorian soaking tubs as well as earth-friendly amenities. The cottages are located right behind the main mansion and share common grounds and privileges with main house guests. Gourmet breakfasts can be enjoyed in the grand formal dining room or out on breezy piazzas by the pool garden where you’ll want to linger.
A two-course breakfast is served each morning in the beautiful formal dining room or outside on the side porch and courtyard patio where you’ll find tables for two overlooking the pool, gardens and jasmine arbor. Herbs from the gardens are included in breakfast and hors d’oeuvres, tangerine, orange, lemon, grapefruit and lime trees can be found along with blueberry bushes lining the backyard walkway.
Complimentary bikes, off-street parking, beach equipment, docking stations, games and reading materials are always available and the concierge service at the mansion will make you feel pampered and stress free when you want to indulge in some island adventure.
