Falling for It!

very year I wait with anticipation for fall. Yes, you’d think it was my favorite time of year and you guessed right. I live in Canada and the trees light up like neon signs up here, they are so colorful and are definitely breathtaking! In fact I have made plans to go out on two

outings in the next month or so to ensure I see the most I can this fall.

It is also a perfect time of year to visit bed and breakfasts and really indulge in the fall air and foliage. I have made plans to visit William Henry Miller Inn and stay with innkeeper Lynnette Scofield who I have known for a few years. She is one of the 8 Broads in the Kitchen who are a group of American Innkeepers who have become famous for their culinary talents — especially breakfast. I am going to get some first hand experience making and serving up some great breakfasts in Ithaca, New York!

I’ll share some recipes in the next issue!

Then I’m off to Vermont to see those amazing fall colors and visit

the gang at Inn Partners. It's a long overdue visit and being that they are former innkeepers I can’t wait to see their place. Son, David Hiller, former innkeeper, now co-owns the Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery.

I’ll be in good company, with good food, loving the colors this fall!
