and then a dismayed face said, “With guys”? “Yes with guys” I said. “No” was the definitive answer – meaning a definite NO. So I asked about budget and they usually spend up to $150 a night so that certainly was inline with many B&B rates. So I asked, “Did you get a free breakfast at your hotel/motel?” He said, “No that was extra.”
“Was there free snacks, or a coffee and tea/beverage station?" "No.” “And you like riding in the country, which means you’d have to drive and stay in a town somewhere and leave your bikes in a public parking lot rather than in a private, protected off-street driveway.”
I think a light went on or at least a glimmer and a consideration of what a B&B experience can offer. It may have sounded girlie but I think the logistics make sense. So fellow innkeepers don't fret when you hear the roar of a big bike coming up the drive, you may be the destination of an incredible journey.

GREAT ESCAPES
Is it the journey or the destination?
recently went on a motorcycle ride and I admit that I haven’t been on one in 25 years. This skeptic didn’t scream, fall off or cause an accident either.
I never imagined I could do it and in the end I am so very proud of myself!
I have a friend who loves to travel by motorcycle and takes great pride in planning his three-times-a-year trip to places that involve great off-highway rides with scenic hills, winding roads and fellow riding friends. These are the parameters of their trips and they normally ride six to eight hours a day. For some reason I have images from the movie Wild Hogs running through my head, but I’m sure their trips don’t involve altercations with bike gangs… hopefully. At the end of the day they are in agreement, like a great bed to sleep in and wonderful food and drink to finish off their day.
So of course you’re going to guess what I asked: “Have you ever stayed at a bed and breakfast on your guy weekend trips?” Silence fell and then a long breath in
