This historic, 1892 Cuckolds Fog Signal & Light
Station was declared excess property by the US Coast Guard, and slated for destruction. A nonprofit group rallied to save the light station, received the deed to the property from the US Government, recruited volunteers, raised millions of dollars, and over a ten-year period, rescued, restored, re-built and re-purposed the property, transforming it into a luxurious offshore Inn.
Still an active aid to navigation, and now open to the public for the first time in history, this lovingly restored, 1892 historic Cuckolds Lighthouse located in Southport, Maine is now has two luxurious guest suites for overnight stays.
