THE WHITING OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE THIS WINTER ///

BY NICOLE WEDDINGTON
As Michigan residents, we know that no matter how hard we try, the freezing temperatures and gray skies often bring out those winter blues. But remember, mental health is just as important as your physical health, and also requires maintenance.
One easy way to battle seasonal depression is with live music. Studies show that listening to music helps decrease depression, tension and stress.
Fortunately for Genesee County residents, The Whiting provides facilities, programs and services to promote and support the presentation of the best regional, national and international performing artists.
“ As we look ahead to 2017 and the second half of our 2016-2017 Whiting Presents season, we are excited to continue to share the best live performing arts experiences that educate, entertain and engage our entire community and region,” said Jarret Haynes, executive director of The Whiting.“ We have been thrilled with the response our patrons have had to our season thus far, and look forward to our presentations in the coming months. All of us at The Whiting are proud of what we offer our community and prouder still of the community’ s continued support of our mission and programs.”
