Rehab and Mobility Systems( RAMS) has grown to three locations: the Clio headquarters, Grand Rapids and Traverse City. Nine years ago, the company began with four employees and has grown to forty-seven employees. Rehab and Mobility Systems is known for its“ service beyond expectations.” They are always looking to fulfill the needs of their clients. Serving the catastrophically injured, the disabled, mobilitychallenged and aging clients is of primary importance and their reason for existence.
Adaptive Modification Solutions( AMS) was born a year-and-a-half ago because of these needs and is a complimentary company to Rehab and Mobility Systems. Continuing to look at filling client needs, AMS opened the doors to its new showroom at 11395 North Saginaw Road in Clio, Michigan, on April 1, 2016. The showroom is a one-stop shop for cash paying customers and walk-ins as well as offering needed construction modifications through No-Fault and Workman’ s Comp. They have much to offer to the community and to the state of Michigan.
AMS specializes in barrier-free construction and aging in place. Because of Michigan No-Fault and Workman’ s Comp, those who have experienced long-term injuries, including traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries due to a motor vehicle accident, will have great options for provisions needed because of their injuries. There are several CAPS( certified aging-in-place specialists) employees on site.“ Aging in place” is a term that has recently been adopted in the health care community. This term means that modifications are done in a person’ s home to allow them to remain there as long as possible. Timely modifications can save the costs for independent living or full care housing.
AMS specializes in building better living. They build for independence, the future and for peace of mind. Quick and competitive estimates for barrier-free modification work can be done on site with the client. From bathrooms to the bedroom, this might mean barrier-free showers, walk-in tubs, grab bars, or overhead ceiling lifts. Other solutions available might include: patient lifts, permanent and free standing overhead lifts, floor to ceiling support poles and many other options based on the client and their limitations. AMS has licensed contractors that are able to design and build what the client needs to be most functional.
For wheelchair or walker users, there are ramps( both portable and custom-built on site), residential
